Pictures from "The Beginning"
Mr. Thompson began teaching at
the Carmi-White County in the Fall of 1998. Originally, when Mr. Thompson
started teaching in Carmi he taught in Crossville and Carmi. He would
teach Fine Arts with Mr. Myers (General Music Classes with 6th graders) and then
travel to Crossville to teach Beginning (4th grade) and Intermediate (5th grade)
Bands. He would return to Carmi to direct the 6th grade band during T.A.P.
Mr. Bell would direct the 7th and 8th grade band and High School Band. All
of this went on for only one year. The next year, Mr. Thompson changed
middle school band assignments with Mr. Bell. Mr. Bell then went on to
direct the 4th and 5th grade bands and Mr. Thompson went on to combine the 6th,
7th and 8th grade bands. The rest of the day Mr. Thompson does as he does
now, teach band sectionals the rest of the day. For fun "look

graduates) who were then in band.
