Mr. Thompson began teaching at the Carmi-White County in the Fall of 1998.  Originally, when Mr. Thompson started teaching in Carmi he taught in Crossville and Carmi.  He would teach Fine Arts with Mr. Myers (General Music Classes with 6th graders) and then travel to Crossville to teach Beginning (4th grade) and Intermediate (5th grade) Bands.  He would return to Carmi to direct the 6th grade band during T.A.P.  At that time Mr. Bell directed the 7th and 8th grade band and High School Band.  All of this went on for only one year.  In the Fall of 1999, Mr. Thompson changed middle school band assignments with Mr. Bell.  Mr. Bell then went on to direct the 5th grade and High School bands and Mr. Thompson went on to combine the 6th, 7th and 8th grade bands.  The rest of the day Mr. Thompson does as he does now, teach band sectionals the rest of the day.  For fun "look at the past" click here.  You will enjoy seeing pictures with lots of high schools (and some recent Carmi graduates) who were then in band. 

This is very highly recommended.  We use it in class all the time and now you can have it on your own computer!  Parents, ask Mr. Thompson to show you how it works!  Amazing!
